Financing Alternatives for Aspiring and Existing Entrepreneurs!
Written by Karl Jackson
Thursday, 02 August 2007
I hope the summer is treating you well and you are enjoying the sun.

Did you know CBDC Hants-Kings and its sister not-for-profit sisters are an alternative
source of financing for aspiring and existing entrepreneurs?
Well today I simply wish to remind you of that simple fact.

CBDC Hants-Kings actually has been providing financial assistance to aspiring and
existing entrepreneurs since 1988.  Current financial (loan)
programs include the following: -
  • CBDC loans up to $150,000 at a minimum of 8 percent
  • SEED loans up to $20,000 at prime plus 2 percent
In terms of these programs there are a number of benefits as well that any of the staff would gladly discuss with you, including $2,000 in free training to successful SEED applicants, option to request an initial period of six months interest only for SEED applications, flexibility in terms of repayment schedules to meet needs of clients, a working relationship with clients, regular monitoring, low to no
application fees, etc.

CBDC Hants-Kings is also the local community partner for the Canadian Youth Business Foundation and can work with youth 18 to 34 to access funding up to $15,000 and the support of a business mentor.
Actually the staff of CBDC Hants-Kings work closely with all community partners, including traditional lenders, etc. to assist aspiring and existing entrepreneurs as best as possible to reach their dreams.

If you have any questions or would like to meet for furtherdiscussion, please contact one of our three offices -
Windsor (902) 798-5717,
Kentville (902) 679-6215, and
Elmsdale (902) 883-8879.
Lets work together to enhance the economic development of our communities.

Yours truly,

Karl Jackson, BCOMM, MBA
